BookMatcher: AI Book Recommendations on iOS and Web
AI book recommendations and a reading tracker: a SwiftUI iOS app on the App Store, a Next.js web app with programmatic SEO, and a TypeScript Hono API on Vercel.

The Project
BookMatcher is a native iOS app that uses AI to recommend books based on your reading history and taste — with personalized shelves, tracking, and a clean reading workflow that does not feel like a database.
Why It Matters as a Case Study
BookMatcher is a CodeHarmonic-owned product, not a client engagement. It exists as proof: end-to-end native iOS, shipped to the App Store, with AI-powered recommendations and a real user experience. When clients ask whether we can build them a real native iOS app, this is the answer.
Architecture
- SwiftUI native iOS app
- Next.js + TypeScript companion web property
- Supabase for data and auth
- OpenAI for recommendation generation
- Tailwind CSS for the web side
Where to See It
- Live at bookmatcher.app
- In the App Store
What This Demonstrates
We can take a consumer iOS product from concept to App Store launch — design, native engineering, AI integration, and the launch lifecycle. The same engineering rigor goes into client builds.
